Jalapeno peppers have just enough heat to wake up your palate, but not enough to overwhelm other flavors. Add them to fresh salsa for a little kick. Stuff them with cream cheese, wrap in bacon, and then grill them for a great appetizer at cookouts; they're even better when served with sweet raspberry jam on the side. Paper-thin slices are a great addition to everything from sushi to hoagies.
